I don't know what is supposed to come after. I know I am on 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE and on a call with Ford, I am 6 versions behind (I am on EA. Lol) the current version. I have to take it to the stealership, according to what Ford told me on the phone. They will keep the car for three days to just update modules and charge $250 because is not warranty work. Wtf @Ford Motor Company ?
No, I mean, what update are you waiting for? Why are you wanting an update? If you don't know what the updates even are, why are you wanting them, and why would you take it to a dealership to get unknown updates applied? I'm not understanding.

Everybody who is worried about updates just get the equipment to update the car yourself. So much easier than loosing your car for days at the dealership just to have them lie about updating your modules. I performed all of my updates this weekend in a 2-3 hour period.
There are also a lot of kind people that can help guide you through the process.

Is this philosophical question? So I need to know what the upgrades are to be able to want them? I assume that an update is an improvement of the current status or version of the software we have. As always, as humans we want improvement overtime even if we don't know what it is. At least I do. I bought a car that was supposed to get OTAs and it doesn't, naturally I feel a bit that my money didn't go as far as it did with others. What don't you understand?

There was an OTA freeze that started end of last year. Nobody is getting OTAs, save for a few small here and there (which you indicated you have received). Therefore, there are no updates available for your vehicle and all the hopes/dreams/wishes will not make them appear ... because there are none.

I was asking what you were waiting for because if you were looking for a fix for a specific issue, I was going to help you potentially locate a TSB for the issue.

Just a heads-up, Ford does not send OTAs every week like "Brand T" automaker. They send them few and far between, relative again to "Brand T". If what you are wanting is a car that delivers an update every week, Ford is not the brand for you.

At this website you can view details of every OTA ever sent to Mach-E's since the first delivery in Dec. 2020 / Jan 2021: https://github.com/elmedico27/fordpowerup

As you can see from that website, the only "big" update that you could have potentially received in 2024 was 6.14. However, you may have already received it before then.

Your next question is likely going to be, "How do I tell what updates I have received". The answer is that you cannot tell from the car nor the Fordpass app. Your other question is going to be, "Well how can I tell what version I am on right now" and the answer is again, you can't. However, there are some super kind folks that will pull this information for you in Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others.

Got it. I apologize for my short tempered response. I am just a bit frustrated with this, but still no excuse. According to a call with Ford, I was 6 versions behind, but not details were given. I will check your link and see if anyone can help me there. Again, thanks a lot for your help.

Unfortunately it does not, my car is stuck in middle of screen now even after turning all driver assist options. I also lost the tail light animations this morning, car is back to all white color. I am not in EA.
I think it's only about the instrument cluster display mode. Tail light and headlight only exist in dark mode, and there's no animation. When it's in light mode, the car is all white color, and red tail light will be gone.

Something is not making sense. You say there was an OTA freeze starting at the end of last year but on on 4/2/24 Ford Motor Co. made a post indicating that 6.14 was rolling out to Mach-E's. This post described some improvements to the UI. I've seen posts from numerous 21 owners stating that they've received it. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/software-update-6-14-rolling-out-to-mustang-mach-e.34823/
Why would Ford make a post about an update rolling out if they were frozen? It does seem that 23 owners are not receiving updates. I haven't seen anything in 3 months.
Is there a problem with the update that they promised two months ago? If so why did some vehicles get it?
If Ford started a post about an update rolling out two months ago and then stopped rolling it, shouldn't they update the thread that they started with another post indicating that they stopped rolling it? I realize this involves common sense that is not present in the current world that we live in.

Yes, some folks got that update after a slew of fixes. Have you posted in https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-are-willing-to-look-up-info-for-others.10230 to have someone look up your OTA details? They will let you know almost instantly where your car updates are

I did that. About 6 weeks ago it showed there were 15 updates ready to download. It sounds like the only way to get them on my car is to spend about $500 and do it myself. My home CEO won't approve this expense as we already spent too much on this car.
My big question was what happened to 6.14? FORD is apparently not talking.

Their OTA process leaves much to be desired and definitely is a pain point for a lot of people. I consider myself lucky to have gotten 6.14 but then again, 6.14 is a lot of ado over nothing and is probably there to placate and distract from the real issue of 7.x delays.

I'm sure the nice helpful folks would not mind a another post, though, just to verify if anything has changed since 6 weeks ago. And, it's free! Or not. You could pay $500 to do yourself or take it to a stealership and listen to them doublespeak.

I'm concerned about updates, currently, for two reasons.

About 4 weeks ago, bluecruise (lane centering) stopped working. It took two weeks to get a dealer appointment, then they had the car for 3 days. According to their (rather terse) statement, it seemed I got hit by the software bug where bluecruise stopped working, and they did a software update at the dealer to fix this. This is really odd because they rolled the bug out, then they found the issue (about two weeks later), then they rolled the fix out. Then I was afflicted by the problem about 2 months after all that! Which would mean - if the dealer is, ahem, portraying the situation accurately, that I got the poison update, didn't get the fix, then got hit with the bug - SUPER ANNOYING to have to visit the dealer and ... "Deal" with them for a few days. Now that the dealer has applied the updates, bluecruise is running better - I even wonder if they applied 1.3 to my '23. It would have been so much better to just get the OTA. Because... DEALERS. Brrrrr.

Looking at the list of updates, there's an April update I care about - "easier entry". My partner has been complaining since I got the car about how if she gets to the passenger side first, even though we have "unlock all doors" set, even though she has PAAK too, the car doesn't unlock. She even wants to drive just so she doesn't have to wait like an idiot at the passenger door for me to get to the driver door. Sometimes I find her in the drivers seat even if I'm like 5 seconds behind her. I was SUPER glad to hear of this update and mentioned it to my partner, now we're BOTH waiting for it.

April was .... More than a few weeks ago. Even if you take the last week in April, it's been about 6 weeks. That should be enough for staggered rollout. I've been trying to be patient. I have a '23, and it seems we've had other updates "stuck". Yes, I have updates enabled. Yes, I've checked recently. Yes, I check from the car and from the app. I have wifi enabled and park it at home and it says it has a strong WiFi connection. I keep it plugged in at least half the evenings. I haven't checked my 12v status but I'm pretty sure it's nominal; I'll probably check again (using OBD2). I will probably disable WiFi because I've noticed before Ford seems to like OTA over cell better (I don't pay for connected services, and we do have good cell service in our driveway).

I do take to heart "do the updates yourself". I am now right on the cusp of that, because I detest visiting my dealer so much. If my dealer did something like tell me the truth, and visit my house instead of have me lose my car for a few days, I'd probably feel different.

There really needs to be a sticky or FAQ that states. "Waiting on updates? Not getting updates?" ~ 'It's a shit show and will always be."
