I recommend not driving on the expressway/freeway/interstate using 1-pedal mode. Certainly do not engage 1-pedal when cruise control is engaged. The cruise control system will regen when going downhill/slope to help maintain the set speed. Don't need to set regen systems that may compete with each other.
I don’t agree with the premise that systems compete. The only issue I have with 1pd and cruise is that when you disengage, you encounter a couple of seconds where the car is slowing down before your foot finds the right level to modulate the speed. I’m used to it now, but it could be a bit unsettling for newbies.

Yes and you can even overcome this if you pre-load the accelerator pedal a bit just prior to pushing the button to disengage cruise (rather than using the brake to do so).

I'm in agreement with everyone who says this isn't smelling right. Was it the Ford dealer who told you this or a tire shop? It sounds like the Ford dealer, but I'm not clear about that. The reason I'm asking is that your should consider taking the car to to another shop, a reputable tire and brake shop if it was the Ford dealer who told you this or take it to the Ford dealer if it was a tire/brake shop that told you this. Either way this sounds someone is trying to take advantage of you. If you do take it in for a second opinion, just ask them for a brake inspection. Tell them why you think something is wrong but don't tell them what the "other" shop told you until/unless they say what I expect them to say, that there is some rust on the rotors.

The pictures will help the experienced folks on this forum give you better advice.
Please take the pictures as close up as you can clearly showing the brake rotors in focus for each wheel.

I'm an owner of a 2021 MachE with 9700 miles. When the new key was offered, I brought the car in with 9400 miles and asked if they could do the 10000 mile check. They reported brakes at the time were normal. Two months and 300 miles later, I was told all 4 rotors were broken and needed replacement. Not covered by warranty. I'm an ignorant grandmother who drives like a grandmother (no heavy braking, speeding, etc.) I live in south Florida and it's hot, but I've never had this issue with any other car. Can someone explain to me how this could happen? Thank you.
I have the same problem with my 2021, 17,800 mile Mach E. They said I need to replace all 4 rotors and pads. There is a TSB (22-2023, dated March 14, 2022) which covers the issue I have but I was told its no longer under warranty. Ford knowingly has defective brake pads in some 2021/2022 models and is not doing anything about it. I called Ford Customer Service and got Lip Service. the Rep was courteous and professional but insisted that brakes are a wear and tear item and not covered. My dealer did and documented a visual inspection of the brake pads and both front and back were listed as 9/10. So basically no wear. So again I ask Ford, how can it be a wear and tear problem if there is no wear. It's a defect in the brake pad design which affects the rotors.... but the customer must pay...

I just brought my ā€˜21 Mache into the dealer for this exact issue. Only 16,500mi on the vehicle with a 9/10 brake pad wear life and a patch of the pad stuck to the rear rotor resulting in a loud thumping sound upon driving. Dealer showed me the TSB 22-2023 and says this is the issue and they are defective pads. However, service manager said since the vehicle is over 1year old it’s not covered by warranty. Come on…Ford knows there is a defect and won’t stand by their product? It’s not wear and tear when the paid are barely use and a localized spot sticks to the rotor. Has anyone who’s this issued covered have the repair covered by Ford? Dealer wants $1000 to replace rear pads and rotors. This just doesn’t feel right to stick a know defect to the customer. And I’m a former Ford engineer, but that is meaningless in this case.

I answered your question in the other thread that you posted this.

Lol. I'll have my husband do it. I bet you all are correct. We do live near the ocean. It' s been very rainy and maybe rust has built up
friend vacationed in FLA, beachfront house. His GM van sat in an open carport for a couple weeks, then when he set to drive home, he noted his rotors were destroyed with corrosion, according to the story. He had to get a brake job before the return trip.
Stuff does happen.
