6.1.0 update yesterday, audio glitch.

Anomaly I had is carplay audio, (prime audio app) was playing, and the sound was 'off'.
(first use after 6.1.0 update)
Seemed like no left channel. Checked the balance setting and moving the ball to the left, no sound. Re centered ball and hoped it would sort out.

So few min later, ... tried XM radio ... sound was fine until the song finished. Then audio on right quit, and had only left channel audio.

Did a sync reset, and was fine the rest of the trip on XM.

Hoping that was it for now ... but will need to drive it more to feel confident.

This has happened to me a handful of times over the past couple years. Hitting the power button for the audio system at the center of the screen dial always fixed it instantly. Didn’t need a full sync reset. Worth a try.

This has happened randomly to me as well. Switching sources usually fixes it.

I've had this happen too. And as bdonpwn mentions, hitting the audio power off and back on took care of it.

Not sure that it's related to any updates. My best guess is that it's a timing bug where the audio processing subroutines that set up your spatial audio aren't activated properly for some reason. When it has happened to me, besides being only out of one side, it also sounds like bad AM radio...

This happens occasionally to me when using CarPlay. In my case, I'm convinced it is CarPlay related, because if I switch audio sources within CarPlay, it fixes itself. I primarily listen to podcasts, and when it happens, the audio will only play out of the right channel. If I switch to Spotify, audio will play out of both channels, and then it is fine when I switch back. I've had this bug for a really long time now, but it is really sporadic.
