Just took my car in today for first service at Galpin ford. Car is at 6500/1 year. Being told it will cost me $214 to do tire rotation and inspections. The selling point on these electric vehicles is lower maintenance cost and gas. So why is it so expensive in SoCal. Where else can I take this vehicle in for servicing that won’t charge me this much?

You dont need service, just checkimg under car to insure no road debris dented battery case which you can see yourself. Rotation should cost, less than $40. Call local tire stores. Never take your car to a dealer if someone local is available.

That’s awesome, and it’s also in Columbus, Ohio.
I would love to find out if someone has gotten their 10,000 mile service done in the SF Bay Area or Southern California for anything less than $100.

I am on track to need this service by August 2023 and would love to find a low cost alternative that doesn’t require a road trip over Donner Pass.

I took delivery in May 2022. To date, I've had $65 in service if you include the $45 inspection fee. I had my tires rotated at 10K for $19.95. My Ford Pass point from my original purchase have paid for everything. NH dealer.
I have 25k miles and never taken to dealer for service. I rotate tires every 10k miles and check fluids myself. There is nothing else to do. When I replace my tires at discount tire I will let them do tire rotation for free. Why Ford charges for tire rotation is beyond me.

Follow up to my previous post, I had servicing done at Autonation Ford in Valencia CA it was $29 which was paid for using reward points.

Thank you the suggestion. I actually had it serviced at a dealership in Valencia for $29 which was covered by my FordPass points.

That’s awesome. I just called my purchasing dealership (Walnut Creek Ford) and they told me that since I bought my car there, they would do the first 10k mile service for free! I forgot to mention that the first time I checked.
