I vote for putting that 80 Amp charger in.
Just FYI that you need a 100 Amp circuit for the 80 Amp charger. You have a 100 Amp subpanel so you can probably connect it there, but if you get a car that can charge at 80 Amps, you won't be able to use anything else in that subpanel while the car is charging. It won't be a problem when you charge your MME since it will only pull 48 Amps.
80 Amps is the maximum a 100 Amp line can handle when it is continuously drawn like when charging a BEV.
