The industry is changing. It's difficult because there's a lot of blowback to the old way of doing things and a fair amount of vested interest in enforcing the old system, hence the various state laws prohibiting the direct sale of automobiles by the manufacturer (An anti-Tesla model system). The end to the current dealer system can't happen soon enough IMO. Replace it with a maintenance center and an internet sales delivery office.

It wont be on Ford vehicle pricing program tell 2021 are launch on the website, which is around October. There is pricing for A/Z plan.

I wondered why A, Z, and X-plan pricing was being discussed so much. Fortunately, I didn't blow it all off and ignore this thread, assuming it didn't apply to me.



This is huge! It's only 2% but that's not chump change on an MME. I looked at buying stock as 100 shares is the X-plan minimum. At $7.xx a share now it's not a bad deal. However, I wasn't sure if the 6-months to hold the stock was before delivery (November?) or negotiation once it switches to the dealer (May?). So buying the stock may not be an option.

However, paying $25-$50 for Mustang Club of America membership to get ~$1,200 off my FE? That's a no-brainer. I'm now a member.

Now I still need to make sure my dealer won't charge ADM and will take the X-Plan. If that discussion doesn't go well, I have other 4 more dealers nearby to choose from!

yes. When you go to the MCA and key in X plan it will give it you automatically in an email.

when you log onto MCA go to member benefits. Partner program. There is both a partner code and then a hyperlink. Click the hyperlink put in the partner code and it says EMAIL PIN

For some reason, X-plan pricing is coming up for me right on ford.com when I look for Mach-E's (soon to be) at dealers near me. I'm not logged in. But I noticed the number displayed didn't match my math. I was calculating the discount as 2% of the MSRP not including the destination charge less the $275 fee.

It seems Ford is applying the 2% to the $1,100 destination charge as well:

AWD	$2,700
Extended Range	$5,000
Subtotal	$54,700
Interior Protection Package	$240
Subtotal2	$54,940
Destination	$1,100
Total	$56,040
X-Plan Discount (2% - $275)	-$846
X-Plan Total	$55,194

Previously, my formula was -(2% * Subtotal2 - 275) but my net prices was $22 higher than the price shown on Ford.com. Now I'm doing -(2% * Total - 275) and my figure matches.

$22 is $22!
