OK - here’s an odd one. My Active Park Assist function used to work fine - I don’t use it often - but I happened to hit the |P| button today and I got the super serious fault tone and this message in my drivers display…

Ford Mustang Mach-E Active Park Assist Malfunction message B9040D52-43EA-45CD-AE61-51185C65F22A

I clicked on OK and carried on my drive home (using one Pedal Drive). Every time I took my foot off the accelerator pedal and the car started to regen / slow down the message re-appeared and the warning tone kicked in. This continued for my entire journey home which got a bit annoying.

Anyway got home and turned car off - locked it and left it so it had time to properly shut down all the modules. Went back out and loaded FDRS to look for any new DTC codes that might have been logged - nothing new in the logs.

Did a reset of DTC and took the car out again and no more alerts when decelerating, but the message came up again when I hit the |P| button.

Had a good old Google when I got back and there was a suggestion in the Forscan forum (link) that an incorrect module setting could be causing the car to throw that error message, and a comparison with, or reset to the “As Built” config would sort the error message out.

I did perform a master reset on my vehicle last weekend as suggested in another thread here to activate my Alexa (which worked) - wondered if that could be the cause.

In the meantime I’ve downloaded the config for my VIN from the Motorcraft website, and I have a licensed version of Forscan, but I was wondering what you guys thought before I go blundering in resetting the module settings to restore my functionality.

Not sure if we can help you if you are saying there were no codes logged and you cleared the codes afterwards. I'm not sure what you mean by a master reset of the vehicle.

Do you have an adapter that supports MS-CAN, and are you using the latest version of FORScan? Delete the vehicle profile and rescan after updating.

Don't go flashing As-Built unless you know specifically what you are changing.
