Hey,

About 50% of the times that I drive on the freeway since April I get a pop up message "Adaptive Cruise Control Not Available" when trying to use Blue Cruise. When that happens I can't use traditional cruise control for the rest of the trip. Today, for example, I drove 90 miles in one direction with absolutely no issues and BCHF worked just fine. On the return trip I couldn't get it to start, getting the above message every time. This even after a couple of stops on the way home. So, turning everything off and on again doesn't solve it. There were no sunlight issues as I wasn't driving into the sun in either direction.

I've cleaned both front cameras (the one above the grille and the glass outside the one on the windshield) to no avail.

I get the following message on my FordPass (see screenshot) after every occurrence. I have over 100 of these messages on my phone since April. The car is not dirty and I keep it clean. There is nothing obstructing any of the radar sensors.

Any ideas about what I can do to fix this? Or should I take it to the dealer? I've had it more than 3 years but I have the extended bumper to bumper warranty so I would expect it to be covered.

If you think it would be helpful to have my VIN code to look at my history, since it's not something I can do, please let me know and I'll post it here. I'm on the "latest version" of BC and the OS, and have been for a while, but this has only started happening in the last 4 months so I don't think it's a software issue.

It's tough to get a look/feel of that radar sensor behind the front facia, but it needs to be eliminated from the equation. I've seen reports where the mounting was broken or loose. I think it's plastic and not proven to be that robust.

I attached a few pages from the service manual regarding the location of the module and the bracket that is suspect to breakage.

Thanks for that. It looks like something beyond my own skill set. I guess I'll have to take it in.

It must be loose as it works some times and not others.

If you post your VIN, someone with PTS access here could check the DTCs on your car to tell you which module could be responsible for it.
