air conditioning broke

My AC wasn't putting out cold air - then suddenly something popped and I assume it was steam came out from under the hood. Anyone else have this happen? Anyone know if there's someone to contact on weekends so I can make arrangements tonight? I'm supposed to leave bright and early to visit my ailing father in the morning.
