Hey all!

There may be a thread or threads that exist for this....but I have to ask this before I go crazy. In my fiance's KIA EV6, we use Android Auto. When plugging it in, the experience feels soooo smooth. It's clearly a 60Hz refresh rate, and just overall the performance is great. I went into a rental car last month on vacation....same thing. But plugging my phone into the Mach E, the experience feels so janky. Google Maps seems like it runs at 15-30Hz, and just overall it feels clunky. Interestingly, the EV6 was like this until KIA posted an update unlocking the refresh rate and higher resolution.

I've tried new phones. I've tried resetting all I could, but am I the only one who seems to get a really low refresh rate?

Thanks for the input all.

I'm using a Galaxy Z Fold 4, and my fiance uses a Pixel 7 Pro.

I noticed the exact same issue and was wondering if it's a hardware limitation. However, when I tried the built-in YouTube app from the Mach-E, it played perfectly smoothly. So I think Ford actually limits the frame rate while Android Auto is running.

I'm just surprised nobody else seems to talk about this. It's really an ugly experience to be honest.

Ford's SYNC needs an overhaul badly, I'm hoping it's just crappy programming and not hardware limitations. The UI itself is crazy laggy and at times I can't even get the built in Youtube client to launch (sometimes it crashes quickly others, it looks like it loads the search bar fine then crashes).

Android auto works like 60% of the time wirelessly, sometimes it only works on USB.
