Android Auto Portrait Mode

As I understand it, Android Auto supports portrait mode, but the Mach E system isn't telling the app the right resolution to use. Do I have that right? Apple Carplay on the Mach E supports portrait mode, so I'm hoping this will change for Android.

If I have this right, where do I go to ask Ford to get on this (as if they would listen to me, but at least I'll feel like I did what I could).
