About 20-25% of the time when I walk up to my car, it moves the driver seat to my wife’s position. As she is kinda short, I can’t even get in the car in this position. I have turned off the user profiles, I have turned off the “my key”. It is driving me crazy. On a road trip now and it happens sometimes when I just get out to plug in/out from the charger. Annoying AF
I have this same problem, I have a 2023 GT, I set up my profile with my FOB, seat and mirror placement and then set my wife's up with her FOB. But even when her FOB is nowhere near the car (not even with me) the seats move into her shorter position and it's difficult to just get into the car.

I find at times that when I open the door the seat has started moving to her position. I understand the buttons on the door, but this is something that should not be happening. My prior car was a Cadillac ATS and it had the same function and never once did the seats randomly move to another position unless my wife's FOB was in the driver's seat.

I'm curious if you were able to find a solution to this problem?

If the seats move before starting the car, it’s broken.

I don't think this is accurate, my understanding is that the car is supposed to recognize the FOB and load that FOB's linked profile which includes seat position as soon as the FOB detection happens. The way it's designed is that it supposed to recognize the FOB at approach and adjust the Driver Profile based on that, essentially preparing the vehicle for you to drive with your setup.

It's buggy in the sense that most of the time my wife's FOB is in the house when I'm out and about and it loads her profile like 20-ish% of the time. Almost like the car cannot discern between the two FOBs in general.

The seat should not be moving when the door is simply open. Start by checking the easy entry/exit setting.

No, the car will load the profile linked to the key (whether fob or phone) when it’s unlocked. Not when you press the start button. This is with easy entry OFF.

But sometimes it loads the wrong profile for some reason.

It's OFF, I don't use it. Plus easy entry exit would move the seat away from the steering wheel not closer to it which is where my wife's seat position is. I'm not sure I understand all the pushback on this feature and this particular issue in this forum. I see this happening all over the webz, and I am not an idiot. Personally, as a 30 year QA Engineer I find it hard to believe that Ford hasn't encountered this in their testing, especially for how often I have seen this reported from other Mach-E drivers.

It’s just another randomly occurring software bug that’s not reliably reproducible and still has no fix. Just like the drive mode switching back to engage for people that prefer whisper or unbridle.

Our Lightning doesn’t have this problem.

Awfully defensive aren’t you? No one has accused you, or even implied, idiocy.

First, easy entry/exit moves the seat back when the door is opened for easy exit. It leaves it there until the door is closed when it will move it to the last position used or the memory position if a different PAAK or fob is approaching the car. A temporary workaround might be to turn the feature on so that you can press the memory button corresponding to your settings.

With easy entry turned off, the timing of when a seat moves is more iffy. It can move when the doors unlock, it can move when the driver’s door is opened, or it’ll move when the vehicle is turned on. So:

Is the profile display changing?

How far is the car typically kept from the other person’s mach-e fob?

Is her fob kept in a faraday bag when not in use at hime?

Is your wife using PAAK? If so, how far is the car typically from her phone when this happens?

If neither of you use PAAK, when was the last time you changed the fob battery?

A more questions before we assume the seat module is the issue:

When the issue occurs, what profile name is shown on the center screen? Yours or hers?

Does the seat move before opening the driver’s door, after opening the door, or only after pressing Start?

Does pressing the memory button for your profile (1, 2, or 3) immediately move the seat to the correct position?

How repeatable is the problem? Every 2 or 3rd time, etc?

Have the seat memory buttons been re-saved larely?
