We picked up our 2025 Mach-e on the weekend and are loving it... but there is one issue that is driving me crazy. I am 6'7" and my wife is significantly shorter, so we have set different memory positions for our seats (she can't reach the pedals with mine and my knees are in the dashboard with hers) including using different fobs when we created our profiles.

However about 50% of the time if we are together in the car when I unlock the car with my fob when I press the start button the seat will move forward into her settings and crush my knees into the dashboard. This happens regardless of her having her fob in her purse or leaving it at home. We both have paak set up and as such her phone is in her purse when this happens . It never happens if I am in the car alone.

The center display is showing my profile icon when this happens too.

Any ideas on how to get the car to use my profile when my fob unlocks it?

Do you have your phones linked to your respective profiles?

Also, you can press the button on the door as soon as you realized it’s wrong before getting squeezed.

I would have guessed it's the PAAK until you said the profile shows yours. I don't have the seat issue but my Android Auto will almost always connect to my wife's phone even if I use my phone to unlock the car. It shows my profile, but reverts to her phone for AA. Some phones send a stronger signal than others I'm guessing.

Might want to try to have your seat position setup as Memory 1 on both your profile and her profile, her setup as number 2 on both. Downside is she'll have to hit Memory 1 once she gets in the car but saves you from scrambling for the button before you become a pretzel.

Press your numbered profile on the door before entering the car.

Profiles are linked to our individual phones... unfortunately when I press the button on the door as it's moving forward it just pauses and then keeps moving forward, did it two times this afternoon, refusing to go back until it completes its forward movement first.

Did that this afternoon (as well as trying to stop the movement by interrupting it by pressing button 1) and it didn't prevent it.

That doesn’t sound right. There’s something wrong with your car. You might try disconnecting the 12V battery to reboot everything.

Did you save your seat position as described below as described below. If not do it.

SAVING A PRESET POSITION
1. Switch the vehicle on.
2. Adjust the memory features to your
preferred position.
3. Press and hold the preferred preset
button until you hear a single tone.
A confirmation message appears in the
information display.
You can save up to three preset memory
positions at any time.

He said it works as long as his wife’s phone/fob are not present.

Yes we have saved presets. I'm button 1 and my wife is button 2... and everything works when I am alone; it's when we are together that things get squishy

First try deleting your wife's profile, including PaaK. Then un-pair your fob and re-pair it to your profile. Then add her back in.

I would agree.

Sounds like PaaK might be the issue. Wife and I don't have PaaK but both keep fobs with us when together. We setup profile with the upper right icon on the big screen with the fob (and other fob out of range) and hitting the memory seat button when pairing them. When either of us unlock the door whomever is on the drivers side, it moves all profile settings to the appropriate person.
