car is outside, but again, haven't had an issue all winter till now..... i understand by the above graph that it takes a few hours to condition at my charge setting... but thats like 2.5-3hrs tops, not 10hrs

Agree. Do you have an OBD2 scanner that can work with Car Scanner? That should give you some insight into where the power is going.

Do you have a way to monitor the power over time to see if it is a constant 20 amp draw? I see 2-3 spikes when it is cold while the car keeps the battery warm but I'm only -12-15°C here and I don't have a departure time set. I suspect it would be additional longer spikes of power if it were -30°C with a departure time set.

Noticed a similar issue here in Atlanta, where the temps are unusually cold, the car spent 1.5 hours preparing cabin and battery for departure, the battery part for me is new, usually I get only a 15 min cabin prep message. I chalked it up to the cold, my car hit 2.7 on the way home, which was a nice warm battery rate vs my 1.7 cold start drive. I did notice the range increasing even though it was only giving the prep notice and no charge rate. I guess it seemed like a good thing.

What it might be doing is heating the battery after charging completes. There is currently a bug in the software that prevents battery heating during level 2 charging. It may only start heating after charging is complete. Since you have it limited to 20A, that may take an additional 2 hours after charging is complete. State of charge may change slightly as the battery heats up.

Try giving it 2 hours to run after charging finishes.
This I have noticed. It starts auto conditioning right after the charging is complete? Charge below 0C batteries and then thaw them out when done? Makes more sense heating them before charging. That would be easier on them I would think.

I have seen it auto precondition right after charging but it does not do it all night. There was some here before with a constant draw problem. I did not follow how that was fixed. Search may help.

So some preliminay testing the last couple days... if i set my cabin temp to OFF and leave the departure times. it charges to a complete status. and stops charging. roughly an hr later it will state "preconditioning cabin for departure" but does NOT pull any wall current. Then after about an Hr after that message, it goes back to Charge Complete message, and stays till just before the departure time. When the departure time arrives, it has the same message as "preconditioning cabin for departure " and it is still NOT taking any current.... although when i jump into the car, and turn on the heat full blast and seats, everything is warm almost instantly... it must be tied to the cabin temp, which i will just leave off... seems to start causing my weird issues... perhaps its a bug in the app, when the vehicles are at such a cold temp.
