I have been driving a MEGT since 9/21. I enjoy the car enough to have paid it off this month and plan to keep it for several years. However, I have recently had nothing but trouble with car play. For two years an app would load, for example, Iheart. The center screen would load and a selection was easily made. Now the app may or may not load. If it does appear it may or may not activate. Sometimes it will activate using the icons at the top of the screen, sometimes not. Sometimes I have to go to my phone turn off wifi and turn it back on. All of this is dangerously distracting. Ford please reverse what ever update changed the car play functionality.

Have you tried it with another phone? What about rebooting sync?

Hmmm, since the last update I have had a poor connection with my Iphone 11. It is like a little static breaking up the call comes and goes from time to time while talking. Even had the Carplay shutdown while taking directions from Google maps. It is worth noting that when plugged in to the USB port then all is better. Otherwise, I love my 2021 CR1 Mach-e. VIN: 3FMTK2R7XMMA10195 and Ford's commitment to backing its products. Also, this site has been a great help. My car was one of the few that had the alarm going off after a big update and the dealership did not know what was causing it. This site gave the cause and the information on the fix which I gave to the dealership and the dealership thanked me and promptly reprogramed the door modules.

If you have CarPlay configured for your Mach-e and have the toggle turned off calls will be awful. Trick it to change it to speaker and back to Bluetooth. You can delete the Mach-e from CarPlay and that will fix it as well. Annoying bug if you don’t always use CarPlay

I was having this problem after a recent update in the last month. So I removed my phone from the car and removed the car from bluetooth and carplay on my phone. Then set everything back up. It has been connecting much better now.

I recently switched to an iPhone from Android and have had no issues with CarPlay though I will say I find the Android Auto interface superior. It makes much better use of the vertical screen interface.

Have you tried it with another phone? What about rebooting sync?
The problem exists mostly with iheart radio not fully loading on the screen. using the icons at the top of the screen usually works
