If I plug my MachE into the charger and forget it's on when it's completely charged does the power keep flowing or does it stop automatically? I thought it stopped by itself but when I opened the garage in the morning I heard it going even though the car was completely charged hours ago :( - I know its not good for the battery to do this but wondering if the energy company is still charging for this or does the charge stop?? I know the wording isn't good but you understand :)

As long as the car is plugged in, there will always be some amount of power draw but, in my experience (based on my electrical bill) it is negligible.

I use a Chargepoint Homeflex level 2 charger. The app alerts me when my car is drawing very little power (i.e. charging has stopped). I'm not familiar with what options you have with Autel.

Have you set a state of charge (SoC) limit for your car? If you have set a limit of 90% or less, you will not harm the battery by leaving it plugged in. Particularly if you are driving it regularly.

The noise you are hearing may be the cars thermal management. Others will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the system can kick on while plugged in if the battery gets too hot or cold.

Sorry I did not address this part :) I believe the Mach-E will not allow charging if the vehicle is fully powered on (at least not DCFC - though accessory power is ok). The car also has a 15 minute auto shutoff which I also believe is on by default.

I suppose I should be recommending you check the user manual at this point ? That's a thing here in the forums ?

UPDATE/EDIT: Hmm it looks like the post from @ack154 above might be a better response to follow. Seems more specific to the possible issue you are having. Cheers.

My 2021 stops when it reached its target. In the morning, it begins charging again after the HVAC has turned on in order to bring up cabin temperature (HVAC drains 12V, 12V charging system drains HV battery, HV charging system kicks in to bring HV battery back up to target). Do you have a cabin preconditioning time set up? ??

If the car is in the “Engine On” mode when it gets plugged in, it reverts to “Engine Off” mode (accessories still active) when it’s plugged in. Well, at least it is supposed to do this. ??

Power draw should be ZERO after the car has finished charging. If it's continuing to draw power (any value more than 0 watts) and you hear fans and pumps running, then you have the never-ending charging bug. Your car will need a software update from the dealer to fix this. See this TSB (also in #2): https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-charge-target-percentage-has-been-met.36309/
