What are you all doing as best practices to keep the battery healthy and efficient?
I haven’t found anything directly from Ford yet.

The manual basically covers it, but the short answer is, charge to 90% as your default daily charge, charge to 100% when you really need to, charge to 50% if you have to store the car for a significant period of time, and leave the car plugged in when at home.

Thanks.
I do see recommendation for DC charging. Stop at 80%. But I don’t see your numbers in the manual for AC charging.

And should we always charge daily independent of how much charge left?
Let’s say we limit the Max charge to 90% and we are at 80% of charge left! Should we plug it in? Should we use more then plug it in?
What’s the best approach?
I’ve read multiple different answers, like:
“Plug in daily no matter what charge left. That gets the battery moving and is healthy. “

I have at this point been following most recommendation I have heard on this forum.
Its only week 1 - so I may adjust down the road.

Overall charge rate set to 90% as recommended in the manual.

Week day schedule to charge from 11pm to 7 am - and departure time set to 7 am precondition to medium.

Weekend - schedule to charge from 7pm to 6am - precondition to medium, departure time set to 6 am. This is under the assumption I will plan to go on a longer trip or somewhere early morning likely on weekend than weekday due to work.

I will see how to adjust these as I learn. biggest issue I see is that with preconditioning set around my likely departure time, I see overall battery charge drop to 89% after preconditioning - I was under the assumption that it will be using wall AC since its plugged in. I do see EVSE show spikes during preconditioning but may be I am not giving enough time to recharge that 1%. If I did, I have to set the departure time to be a bit earlier so that it can recharge that 1%. Precondition is taking about 1.2kwh. May be dont worry about it.
