Hey everyone!
First time, long time. I love my new Mach E. I’ve had it for 3 weeks and I’ve noticed when I charge at home on my standard 120v outlet using the Ford mobile charger, the charge is never at 80% when I get in.
I set the target charge to 80% in the app and it obviously takes forever. But I thought I could leave it plugged in when it’s done. So, for example, the app will tell me it reached 80% at 2 AM, but when I get in the car at 8 AM, it’s at 76%. On the other hand, I’ve left it unplugged for 24 hours and seen no drain at all.
Is this just the charger stopping the charge too early? Is leaving the car plugged but canceling charge causing some sort of drain on the battery? I would hate if I had to run to the car when it reaches the target to avoid losing 10-15 miles of range when I’m already intentionally losing 50-60 miles by capping at 80%
