Battery Percentage now missing.

Cluster display has been showing GOM with the % of battery below this. No changes made but now the % is missing. Was there an update that eliminated this? Impacted by setting up a trip?

Battery percentage is the enormous horizontal bar across most of the display in the mode you're in (Engage, all ADAS disabled).

Switch to a Whisper or Unbridled, or turn on any assistance function such as cruise control, distance indicator, lane keeping, or route navigation, and the enormous battery bar will shrink back to a little percentage text readout.

Just another one of those design ideas that’s a head scratcher though. Not sure why drive mode should change things like this.

Agreed. I wouldn't even care about the stupid blue bar if they just left the battery percentage in the same place. Instead, they just put blank space there. A completely stupid decision.

Truly this smells of a situation where a designer needs to justify their existence; unfortunately with ugly results. Important information (such as battery percentage) shouldn't bounce around and seemingly disappear just because somebody thought that would be cool.

The bar is a visual representation of the battery charge level in comparison to estimated charger and destination percentages which are plotted on the bar during navigation. This was designed to be a distinct visual feature for the "engage" driving mode. People that are more visual than numerical may prefer it.

Strange. I always drive in engage mode and it always has a percentage. Is it different for the 2021 GTPE?

Great! Leave it as is and add in the percentage. You can have it both ways. Or give us the option to choose which one to use. This is the car's preferred driving mode and should give us basic important information. Instead, I'm toggling ADAS on and off to get that info now.
