Got this txt from my dealer (but no notice on the app or via usps): "Your 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E may have a BCCM software issue, preventing full battery charges and potentially causing charge cords to stick or charge port pins to melt. It is really important to get this recall fixed and our team can do this for you at no charge."
Scheduled an appt for them to take care of it, but then got this response: "We do apologize. I know we reached out to you earlier to get this recall fix, we were just notified by our parts department that the part for this recall is on backorder. We will reach back out to schedule the appointment once the parts come in. Thank you."
I then asked if this was a safety issue and/or stop driving the car, and they won't give me an answer.
Thoughts? How can a software issue need parts?
