I am actually surprised that the location manager didn't process the deal. We all know car dealers hate to 'not process a deal/sale'...
I know, right? Gives the customer a chance to change their mind or to shop a different make or a different dealership. I'm also slightly afraid that they might pull the deal and sell the car to somebody else for more. There are only a couple of '25 GTs within a hundred miles of southern CT.

Good point. I have liked the folks at this dealership so far, but I am fully prepared for shadiness at the “finance guy” step. My last car purchase (not Ford), the finance guy added 2% to the interest rate we had agreed on and tried to get me to sign off on it without reading. They’re not prepared for folks who come in with a laptop and a spreadsheet to check all the math.
My kind of guy! Same car too (except mine has a frunk ?

Oh jeez! That frunk....shrunk! Mine is so teeny compared to you guys!

I will say, since I keep the seats down in the back (we have three Goldens, not just the one pictured), it's really nice to stash the dog go-bag in the frunk. But I'm jealous!

Congrats. Welcome to the forum as an owner. A couple practical items.

First, you have not mentioned the battery size, which affects price significantly. For the price you paid I hope you have the extended range battery.

Second, Summer is near. You may want to charge overnight when temps are cooler. Chargers can get warm, which is when the charger light changes from blue to amber and when the charging rate will drop from close to 7kW to less than 3kW - for mine anyway.

Third, try using the departure time feature so the cabin and seats are cooled. During summer, the cabin and seats and steering wheel can be warmed.

Fourth, if you set your cell phone as a key, i.e. Phone As A Key or PAAK, it may lose connection occasionally after you are too far for too long. Just be patient and activate the Ford Pass App. It will then connect to your car. Related: Be sure to take your cell phone out of your car when you exit or the car will not lock. I still fail to do this occasionally.

Last, do take the time to review all vehicle options. Set all the options the way you want. This will be well worth the time.

You are familiar with this forum so just search for topics of interest to find other information.

The finance guy is off and the backup finance guy is sick, so I can’t pick up today. How much does that stink?
Badly.

However, don’t expect this will help you feel better but on the day I was due to collect my beautiful new ‘Stang at 11am almost 4 years ago, and after I had given my Mitzi Outlander to son’s family the night before, transferred ownership, insurance etc at 9am on collection day I received messages that I could not have new ‘Stangy!

For an indefinite period ?

Someone in IT who “programmed” the emergency call system omitted to include the last degree between 359deg to 360/0degree longitude so if I had accident in that degree e-call would send emergency serviced to random location.

Had to wait 2 weeks while they produced a fix?

Rented a small van to put my tools in when I needed to go out on road because I daren’t risk damaging somebody else’s new loan car - I use my ‘Stang effectively as a van when I work!!

Anyhow, Ford very good about it and settled my hire bill, just gotta love Ford ?

‘Stangy’s worked like a horse for 114,250 miles very well, just what a car?

Enjoy yours, I’m sure you will?

Oh, and welcome to the group.

Some of us are mad as a box of frogs but mean well????

Thanks for the tips! Yes, I got a GT which comes with a 91 kWh battery. So extended range, but a little less EPA estimated than the '25 Premium with extended range. I've found that if I don't use the GT features (like if I put it in whisper mode and use BlueCruise for my commute), it's closer to 300 miles per full charge than the 280 rating.

I'm getting a home charger installed in a couple weeks, so I will take your warm weather advice to heart. I'm going to enroll in a local program here in CT where you can get benefits for charging at night (and a nice rebate on the electrical upgrade), and I should be able to program my charge based on my commute and departure time. We're upgrading the panel and dedicating the full amperage to the Ford Pro charger that the Mach-E can use, so I should be OK, but I'll keep an eye on heat. And to your point about cabin conditioning, I've been using that and it's wonderful. I have it set for my normal commute departures out and back, and I've used the manual A/C on option at other times. It's like the remote starter on my old car but a thousand times more useful.

Phone as key is one of my favorite things. It's worked flawlessly so far, but it makes you set a backup to unlock the car from the keypad on the B pillar and then another code to activate the car, so I can hypothetically get in and get going if my phone glitches. I set up my phone as key on my final test drive before signing for the car, so I've actually never used the fobs! They've been sitting at the house.

Been playing around with fun options (interior lighting, auto speed settings on BlueCruise, and a million other things). I love the ability to customize to my driving style and preferences.

Really appreciate your rundown of this stuff!

Ok, then you need to reposition the floor cover to the low position. The floor will be unable to handle three goldens and you will likely break the plastic tabs.

oh yeah? Thanks for that tip!!! I was wondering why it sat so oddly in the first place, but I’ve had the dog cover over it (and the rubber cargo area cover), so I haven’t actually looked at it uncovered to see the ways it can sit.
