Black dashboard screen

Advice needed please from the resident experts. I charged my MME to 100% last night - everything was functioning normally. This morning I plugged an electric coolbox into the 12v supply in the boot. The coolbox only drew some 4.33 amps max. When I left on my journey the dashboard screen functioned as usual but the main screen was totally black save that the reverse camera worked. Going into drive mode - screen was black and no screen control were visible or functioning. All non-screen controls worked as normal and the car drove smoothly. Due to the cold/damp UK climate the windows starting misting over so I had an open window cold drive to my Ford dealership! Unfortunately it's a 2 week wait for an appointment and I was late for an appointment elsewhere. Before I took off again I unplugged the coolbox and lo and behold the screen lit up on startup! Don't know if that was a coincidence or not. The screen was stuck on the phone application though and navigation was loading until about 20 minutes later when normal functions resumed. Since then all has returned to normal and I have been enjoying "untamed" mode. I have not tried plugging in the coolbox again as I do not wish to provoke anything. I am going to book the car into the dealership for a diagnostic checkup soon but in the meantime any ideas anyone?

Ahha -,just seen the “cure” on a youtube video from an earlier post of pressing volume down and right button on the steering wheel - cheers anyway guys.
