Black Screen keeps rebooting

My 21 MME screen frequently is black when I start and then reboots shortly after I start driving. It used to do this once in a while but lately it does it almost every day. When it's black, all the apps are frozen. What does this mean? I don't think they are OTAs since I haven't received a notice of one since March. Should I take it to the dealer? My warranty is up in early February and I want to make sure everything is working before then.

I would schedule it for service. The APIM, the computer that provides SYNC, may need to be replaced or the vehicle may just require some software updates that the dealer can perform.

If it needs the part replaced, it's a lengthy process to wait for the dealer to order and receive the new APIM so you'll want to get that started now before the bumper to bumper warranty expires.

Thanks. I just emailed the service manager at Ford Fiesta. He has been great since I got delivery in 2/22. I expect he will tell me to bring in the car. They are a great dealership for service if anyone lives in the Coachella Valley, CA.
