We have had our Mach-E just a couple of months and all is going great. However, this past week, the blue charging status lights inside of the charging port have stopped working. Some of them will glow white when unplugging from the car, but none of the blue lights are working. The car appears to be charging properly, but this does make it a little harder to monitor charging. Is there a simple fix to this or does it need to go into the dealer?

No blue lights even when you first plug in, yet the vehicle charges? I haven't seen any other reports of that. You may need to bring it in for diagnostics/repair.

If you see the lights when you plug in but they turn off after a minute or so, I think that's normal. At least, I think that's what mine does.

I'm not normally at the vehicle while it's charging (I've set overnight charge hours), so I can't remember what the lights show of anything while in the middle of a session.

The blue lights are not coming on at all now whereas before there were on the entire time that the car was charging. Sounds like we need to get it serviced.

I believe the charge port lights are controllable via one of the settings screens. I'd check if that setting got changed somehow, and in any case I'd try turning them off and then back on via software just to check it out.

Note: If the charge status indicator does
not light up or pulse after plugging in, please
verify that the charge port light setting is
"On". If you do not wish to have the charge
status indicator light up at all while charging
then you can turn it "Off". See charge port
light under vehicle settings on your
touchscreen.

Thanks for all the help. I finally found the charge indicator setting under "Access". Don't know how it got changed though in the first place.

Hi there! This definitely doesn’t sound like the experience we want you to be having– If you'd like to, go ahead and send a message to us with your VIN and approximate mileage. I’d be happy to look into this for you. Thanks!

Thanks for following up, but I found somehow a setting got changed that controls the charge indicator lights. Was able to correct by turning it back "ON". What I don't know is how it got changed in the first place because I don't believe I directly did that, but was programming a new charging location around the time it occurred (for a new charger at our beach condo).

This happened to our Mach-E too, changing the Charge Port light setting back to ON worked for us too. No idea how it was changed to OFF.
