Having BC 1.3 for only a few days, I have noticed some strange tendencies with the lane shifting when passing a Semi. On the first day of testing BC 1.3, all the new features appeared to work just fine, passed several Semi and the car shifted in the lane and confirmed with the graphic on the center dash screen. However, in the last day or so, the lane shifting has seemed to stop. Just curious if others have experienced something similar, does the Semi need to be a certain distance from the lane markers, or is the car just poor at recognizing the Semi. Thanks for the feedback.

The semi needs to be close enough to your car before it will lane shift. If they are drifting to the right then it may not trigger because there is a big enough space already.

Generally on standard 12' wide interstate lanes, the semi has to be within about 1' of the lane line before it will shift. If they are perfectly centered or shifted right then you won't get a lane shift.

I just got 1.3 a week ago. Wow! I kinda hate it. I would actually prefer to go back to 1.0. Unlike some of you, my experience with the lane changing has been pretty good but the sudden deceleration for curves is ridiculous. Also why, in a 65 zone will is show I'm in a 65 zone but throw a smaller 55 mph sign below it and suddenly slow down to 55? And has it lost the ability to program it to automatically go 3-4-5 mph over the posted limit, because I can't find that anywhere and this thing wants to do the limit or 10 under all the time. This is definitely not an UPdate this is pretty bad. Only good thing is I won't be so disappointed to not pay $800 a year once my free subscription runs out.

I would just turn off the Speed Limit sign recognition - it's never worked well for me, especially on 1.0 - it would constantly see speed limit signs on frontage roads and slam the brakes on me, a complete non-starter.

You can turn off predictive speed assist to avoid that. The speed limit and turn speed have been combined into one option and it doesn’t work well.

I think this is the car anticipating a speed limit change and proactively slowing down to the speed limit that is about to be in effect.
