I imagine I know the answer, but going to ask anyway. My 4 years of BC are soon up on my 21 GTPE so looking at most of $500/year. My local dealer said an employee had his mach e registered in his business and because of that received a discount for BC for at least one year. I asked Ford about it and as I figured they said there was nothing. Mine is registered in our corporation so I was just wondering or is this something only available to Ford employees? There aren't any specials they run from time to time are there? Just curious as I feel they are a bit pricey.

Your dealership is likely mistaken. Some came with 90 days, some came with one year, yours came with 3 years then a year free.

Why not just do the monthly when you travel?

I also activate the BlueCruise subscription only when I'm traveling. Unlike most things in life, I usually get a refund for the unused part of the month so that saves a bit. Kudos to Ford also in that it is just as easy to cancel as it is to activate a subscription - there should be a law requiring that for everything so thank you Ford for doing the right thing without being forced. Refunds for the unused portion of the month also applies to Connected Navigation.

Good to know. That doesn't work for things like EA or Tesla membership.

I’ve found that out also with the Ford Streaming. I get it for road trips and cancel when i get back And got refunded the part of the month I didn’t use. I like it since its easier to connect YouTube while charging then disc CarPlay and connecting hotspot.

Whatever you do, be aware that any subscription you buy will not transfer to a new mach-e if you change, it stays with the car. Last August, I got offered a free year of blue cruise after my 3 year trial and I took it but in December, I saw very good offer to switch over to a 2025 Mach-E. Ford Refused to make the remainder of the subscription follow me on the new car. I thought and still think this is stupid. How am I ever going to buy a subscription to anything from Ford if I know that changing vehicles (through sale or accident ), we give me a net loss? Very disappointing way of doing things IMHO.

When I switched from the '22 Lightning to the '23 Mach E, I got the remaining free charge credit from the Lightning to the Mach E, basically doubling it.

Didn't have to ask for it - it just showed up after I took delivery of the MME.

Maybe Ford was trying to make up for the loss of my ordered MME that got totalled in a rail transit accident ???

Well I called and complained and was basically told to suck it up. Either you got lucky or as you say it was to make up for something.
