I recently purchased a 2021 Mach e. I have not been able to set up Blue Oval and plug & charge. After several conversations with tech support, I was told that if you purchased a used Mach e you did not qualify for the plug & charge. They were not able to give me a good reason for this. Has anyone run into that issue?

At first I thought this was an April Fool's post, but then realized it sounds quite plausible.

I don't have direct experience with this particular issue, but it seems unlikely that the connection to the Blue Oval network is the person, not the car. It makes no sense to exclude all used cars from your customer network, much less the plug and pay functionality. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that's not the case.

Go through the BEV customer support teams, start a case. My guess is you've encountered folks so far that didn't know what was happening, and didn't care to find out.

Yes, that has been posted by others. I have no idea if they were able to remedy things with the BEV team or not.

I actually just got this fixed yesterday, but it was a pain. I also bought a used 2021. The front line reps on the phone do not understand what you need. But I finally got someone that put in a tech support ticket. They said Plug and Charge will never work, but FordPass says I have it with 500kWh of EA charging credit.

So basically just call until you find someone that knows what they are talking about.
