Greetings all,
Been lurking here for a few weeks and digesting all the comments and views of this terrific looking car.
Presently I have a MG ZS EV which in all fairness has been faultless for the last 3 years/65,000 miles however it has the 53kwh battery which limits range and this has been an issue for me. I was unable to get hold of a long range model back in 2022 due to the chip shortage at the time. As it was, I had to order/travel from South Wales up to Preston to get this one.
I am planning on ordering a 2025 model however this will be a Motability vehicle so am limited at this moment to a Select although I would prefer the Premium. Perhaps I will hold out until April 1st when the new list appears and see if the Premium has been added. I would go with the Tech pack addition whichever model I am able to order.
Other than a Premium Mach-e, I have tested an Ioniq5, BYD Atto3, Premium Explorer and the Peugeot e-3008 all on extended 24-48 hour tests. (There was a 5.0 V8 Mustang Dark Horse in the showroom but I resisted the huge temptation lol) . Without going into the ins & outs of the various other cars, the MME has come out tops, by a long margin. Even the wife is very happy which is a bonus.
I understand there are some changes/tweaks to the 2025 as per another post and the colours have changed amongst other things. The wife wanted Vapour Blue which I believe will be dropped so we'll need to look at that again. I'm not fully understanding the potential changes to the battery capacities yet so will wait for further clarification but whatever I end up with it will be a massive improvement on my current cars' range.
