Hey yall, got myself a 2022 certified preowned ME select (August 2022 build). I finally found one that was in my budget. 10k miles on the clock. Car was super clean EXCEPT for a small ding on the passenger door. I knew i could use this to my advantage knowing full well i will have that small dent pulled in 45 minutes and it will look as good as new.

They knocked off additional cash for the small dent, extended warranty for 14k miles after fords ends. Car before taxes and plate transfer was $30500, no dealer fees. My credit is very high so i qualified for a DECENT rate, still far from what i could get 2 years ago.

I never thought i would be able to afford a ME, but I finally found a good deal.

This forum has taught me a lot before I purcahsed, thanks for all the info this forum. I came from a 2022 Lexus.

I don’t think so but what I rely on is the mirrors folding in. You can turn that on in the settings and it gives good enough feedback for me.

Unfortunately the select trim doesnt have folding mirrors sadly.

If you have PAAK set up, you can set the car to auto lock with a chirp when you walk away from it. It will also chirp and lock if you don't open the door within a few minutes after a walkup PAAK unlock.

Walk away lock that @shelnian mentioned is probably your best bet. If it's dark outside, then when you lock via the door pad, you may look for the headlights to flash for confirmation. If it's very quiet when you lock the doors, then you may hear the lock cylinders slide. They are pretty darn quiet on this car, though.

Welcome to ownership. Living in FL you may not need to precondition the car/battery during the winter. But if so, you'll enjoy warm seats, steering wheel and cabin.
You will notice smooth and immediate acceleration. We can 'sneak' up on other cars quickly, so our safe driving now includes watching for cars that may change lanes without realizing we are almost next to them.
Take your time to explore the on-board menus and settings. Profiles are great ways to customize your time behind the wheel.
Also, I recommend highly setting a recurring OTA update schedule. This will prevent missing an update and ensure a critical update is not received while you are out and about, which could disable your MME until the update completes. I set our MME updates for 3 a.m.

You can always test the walk away unlock at home by locking the car, leaving your phone and fob inside and going back outside to check.

Here's what I recommend.

1) Open door.
2) Push lock button on INSIDE of door.
3) Close door.

Or, if you use the exterior:

Push 7/8 9/0 on the keypad, and observe the orange light on the passenger door turn on

Or:

Push lock button on exterior, and observe orange light on the passenger door turn on.

It does if you have the comfort technology package.

You will see the lights flash when you hit the lock button. No honk, but light flash works.

I see the yellow amber/yellow light on the mirrors flash when I hit the lock button so I guess that will have to do. It's just not as satisfying as that "BEEP" ya know.

I have setup the walkaway locking feature and that does indeed work I tested that.

I have setup auto OTA scheduling for 1am. I believe I have all current updates up to this point. I also setup preconditioning and charger scheduling. Charge schedule is after 12am to reduce electricity costs as it is off peak hours.

It does if you have the comfort technology package.

I don't unfortunately, very base package.

I am super stoked, I only will be charging at home as I have a ICE vehicle for larger trips with the Fam. I have my dent removal schedule for this Saturday to get that ugly small dent pulled.
