Button under Frunk next to Sensor/Camera?

What is this "button" for? I could not find anything in the manual about it. Also, I could not find anything in the forum when I did a cursory search.

It's not a button. It cleans that camera, sprays it with water. It activates when you clean the front windshield wiper.

I don't think so, the only reason I know that is cause I saw a video of it in action somewhere on these forums.

Another forum had a guy remove it because he thought it was a button. I a thankful for his sacrifice.

Someone was pressing on it on my car, thinking it was a button. The piece came off and wouldn't fit back on while the sprayer was in the resting position. To get it back on you'll need needle nose plyers to pull the sprayer out, then you can reconnect it. If you look at the 2 notches the right side is VERY short, I'm not surprised it came off as easy as it did. I think the molding that the plastic piece rests on might be defective. On the top left, right, and bottom left corners you'll notice there are notches. On the bottom right you'll notice it isn't there. If you press to hard on the bottom right side the plastic guard will come off. Who knows, maybe that is working as designed, as it might be difficult to get to the sprayer part otherwise ? .

Believe me, that happens regularly in the winter. But it's not much help when the camera gets completely encrusted with salt 2 minutes after leaving the house.

Agreed. My ex (a VW Tiguan) had a rear window washer nozzle that would run down the back window and intentionally wash over the rear camera, cleaning it, which was a handy design approach to avoid adding a special nozzle just for the rear camera.

Well, maybe if the Mustang Mach E had been designed by a team from an area that routinely has cold winters with heavy snows and uses road de-icing materials extensively, the team would have thought of this.
