Frunk button!

I may have missed it, but I didn’t see this reported anywhere…

I’ve now hadmy MME for 7 days. I knew the frunk button would show in the Ford Pass app, but I wasn’t expecting it to work, BUT IT DID!

Is this working across the board, or just on recently delivered.
Don’t the European remotes have a frunk button? Will that work with American cars?

It is only functional on later builds.
Can't say for sure, but I've read that the EU fobs use a different frequency.

Question: Do you still have to lift and shut the hood manually or is it motorized like the back?

It is only a powered release. Raising and lowering the hood is manual.

So will all 2021 MMEs eventually get the frunk button in FordPass? I have a Nov 2020 build and the recent 21p22 updates (also on 1.7.1) and still no frunk button.

So funny thing.... I used to have the (inoperable) frunk button in FordPass. Now it is gone. Not sure whether a particular FP update removed it, or if Ford somehow killed it on the backend without updating the app? Anybody else have the same experience? This is completely academic because it didn't do anything, anyway, but it's interesting.

Yes, a lot of people have. The button was added as part of a BCM update, then Ford realized it was confusing people since it didn't work so they removed it server side.
