Getting back to the original topic of this thread, the Ford Mobile Charger faulted out again yesterday with no OTA updates involved, tripped the breaker, and would not restart. Our dealer ordered one as a replacement, so we exchanged old for new today.

Two things of note - the replacement does not come with the 110v and 220v connectors or the mounting bracket, be advised. BTW, if this charger is intended only 'for occasional use' why does it come with a mounting bracket?

Also, as you would expect, it worked just fine when the dealer folks hooked it up to try it out before returning it to Ford. Figures.
Most dealers have a 3 phase service which means that the voltage is 208 instead of the 240 we have at home. It’s possible that the FMC failed in such a way that it would still operate at the reduced voltage.
More likely, it was just Murphy’s law at work, though.
