I've ordered my GT PE on the 5th of May Order # 10027125 from a local dealer but have not received a VIN # as of yet. Can anyone chime in on how this process works and what I should expect? Thanks in advance.

Called Ford at (800) 334-4375 and confirmed that order was placed properly and VIN's will start being received around the end of Jul. Ford also stated that because my reservation was from the end of NOV 2019 that I would be one of the first to receive my GT. GOOD NEWS!

You might wand to give your dealer a call. I'm not one of the guys that knows how things work around here, but I received the VIN for my GT earlier today. My salesman called me with it.

My understanding is the VIN is generated once the car is scheduled to be built. I got notified of my build week about a month or so after the order was placed.

Once you get a build confirmation you should be able to get the VIN from your dealer or using this tool:

Hey thanks a ton for posting that! I was able to use the tool to extract my VIN for GT PE!

I wonder why Ford doesn't simply allow the user to see this data on the screen if they wish (maybe in a separate "Details" page). It seems like exactly the kind of thing that people would want to see in order to build confidence in the system. And it avoids having to call the dealership which can sometimes be less than effective at getting details like this, plus it preserves the "online experience".

No problem.

There's a lot about this Mach E roll out that I think many people would say the same. Ford has definitely misstepped on a number of things. No more gripes from me though, I just want my MME!
