Can we get FordPass Plan My Trip Back?

Hey @Ford Motor Company do you think we could get Plan My Trip back "Soon" ? I really dislike sitting in my car at night in the rain entering my trips into the navigation system. I'd rather be in bed snuggling my wife while holding up my glowing rectangle. Also, I often wake up at 3AM, which (if she's asleep) is conveniently is a good time to plan the next day's trips on my phone, but it's not a very convenient time to shuffle down the hotel corridor to my car to enter the trips into the car's computer.

What would be cool would be the ability to enter trips in FordPass, and send them to the car.

I'm happy using ABRP and Plugshare for the initial planning, but I want to use Connected Navigation for the final planning and execution.

I'm trying to think why it was removed. Perhaps there's an issue with maintaining the same routing software/algorithm that's in the car into the app. If *that's* the case, perhaps it would be much easier, from a software side, just to send a list of stops to the car as a "Trip". I don't mind if the actual route (roads used) and any additional charging stops are selected in the morning when I start the car and select the saved trip.

Trying to be helpful. Obviously the old system was retired for a reason, if that reason was complexity or reliability, perhaps a simpler option is possible.

Yes. I prefer to use my phone for music and podcasts and other things, and use Connected Navigation for executing my plan. I don't mind using Google Maps (or Apple Maps, or Plugshare, or ABRP which seems best) when *planning* a trip, but I want to use the built-in Connected Navigation to execute my trips. So, I want to take my trip plan (from wherever) and send it to the car's navigation system.

It was a great feature to be able to enter the trip into FordPass and then send it to the car's navigation system. I loved it.

We do the same with Apple Maps on our iPhone. It picks up on CarPlay seamlessly.

I use this too, but the one thing I find annoying is that if it isn't connected to the car it treats it like it knows nothing about the car. As in, one of the main things I would like to map out is charging stations, and you can't really do that this way. If I could just put in "car staring with 100%" 3Kwh, and then let it do thing, that would be great. Without this "route planning" is not really better than "use your favorite mapping program". The only advantage is that once I do get into the car, it will pick up the route and throw in the charging stations. Have to end up using another planner when actually doing the planning when not in the car.

To have it all in one place would be ideal. Note that I bought my car in August of 2024 so I never got to see how Plan My Trip worked in the Ford App.

It seems Ford is really good at removing apps and options on the cars and never delivers any updates of any real use. Only useful thing was Tesla Supercharger access. ( mind you can’t find them in the cars routing software) update was “supposed “ to be coming but, sure it will not, just like BC 1.5 to my model year. ( already outdated in 1.5 years)
Just complete disappointment from Ford.
Should have bought a Tesla, Still light years ahead of Ford. ( yes I’m angry )

Well, to be fair, bluecruise is much improved, the display UI is much improved, PAAK works better... GOM is improved. Braking is better. Charging curve is better. 12V is improved. So we got a lot of updates that are of real use.

But I want Plan My Trip back!
