Can't select a Mode

Normally use Whisper mode
Toady none were an option.
It displayed Engage initially but when I tried to change it, well I got this
None of them.
Seemed to drive without issue but is it significant? A sign of something else?
I’ll check it again today but I’m wondering what could possibly cause this?

Reboot Sync. Hold volume down and right seek buttons.

The car's systems are just confused and unable to change from the default mode (Engage). As @RickMachE said, a reboot of Sync usually solves this. Sometimes it solves itself while driving. Sometimes shutting the car down for a while and restarting solves it. Once in a while (very rarely) it requires letting the ccar sit for 12+ minutes after shutting down, disconnecting the battery negative terminal for a while, then reconnecting the battery negative terminal.

This can be caused by a non-immobilization update that can be applied shortly after starting. Leave it alone for 15 minutes or so in case there is an update in progress. It usually cleans up after itself. If not, like others said, Sync restart or power cycle the car and it usually clears up.
