Car rammed into

A stupid driver backed into my car in a pub parking lot .... and then says he's a young driver and prefer to settle this directly without involving insurance.

So, anyway, how do i go about this to get an estimate? Is Ford dealer the first point of contact for a quote ?

Luckily it looks the damage is only scratches and paint loss

I just had a door ding repaired on our Mach e counting car rental for 8 days and the repair it was total cost of 3289.00

From past experience, I would recommend that you should not take his word for it. You should contact your insurance agent in a situation like this, then let them deal with it.

People will say anything to get away from the situation. Then its your word against theirs. If no police were called it's over. Call your insurance.

Police report and insurance…….every time.

Seems like most people (myself included) have learned this lesson the hard way.

They promise to pay, then disappear.
And without police report, good luck getting a judgement against them.
