@New2EV no buttons, just keyless entry is your goal?
Yes, just a smaller FOB that fits in my pocket better. I've had the car for a month and 99% of the time I never touch the FOB. If I need a button, I'll use the Ford App. Obviously PAAK is the answer....if it worked as advertised.

You could certainly substitute a smaller battery so long as the voltage is correct, especially if you are never going to use the higher power transmitter and just the short range lower power loop.
I thought about that, but honestly the battery doesn't make it that much bigger. There's a metal strip that sticks up the height of the battery. I don't want to modify the circuit board....just in case I want to switch back.

This company makes generic fob boxes. There are likely others,not sure if these are much smaller than the original fob.
