Hi,

Both a Bronco and MME issue where my iPhone (both pre and post suggested latest update) won't connect to CarPlay via cable.
Bronco will take wireless projection, but when I do, I can't do the car's hotspot, which I pay for to AT&T. Or I can use the WiFi but can't use CarPlay.

Went to Apple and had them check my charing port, and it's all cleaned up and works nicely anywhere BUT the cars.

Anyone else having issues? Is Ford going the Tesla and GM route?

Which iPhone do you have?

also your WiFi connection on the phone won’t work when you are connected wirelessly via CarPlay

Yes, I know that about the wireless projection.

I plug my phone in most every day, but the car connects wirelessly probably 75% of the time. Shrug. I did clean out my charging port with a toothpick, and that definitely helped since I sometimes wasn't even charging over the cable. Now, I at least am charging while plugged in, even if CarPlay connects wireless.

In the last few weeks this has been a big problem for me. My iPhone 14 will not connect to CarPlay and it will not come up on the car screen. So annoying! Why is this happening?

Yeah, depending on the car, like my Bronco for instance, I get the wireless projection, but not the MME, or I'll opt for proper WiFi for streaming music, but no apps on screen.

I hope it's an app issue, but I will check with a bunch of cables tomorrow. My wife is able to connect normally, so I thought it was my phone, but it was thoroughly cleaned and given a green light, so... whassup @Ford Motor Company

You all mean Bluetooth and not WiFi.

No, no confusion here.
WiFi doesn't work with wireless projection, we know that.
We're talking CarPlay not connecting via USB or a pop-up window saying "inserted USB Device Not recognized". WiFi works but no CarPlay. I can have one or the other now (wireless projection OR wifi but no wifi with CarPlay).
