CarPlay not working?

It says CarPlay is disabled, it is switched on on my phone. I deleted my phone from the car and added again. Still having the same issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes! My iPhone was connected and CarPlay was running wonderfully, then Friday morning, my iPhone will connect to the car, except CarPlay. It always fails. I turned off Bluetooth on the Mach-e and the iPhone and restarted the phone and the Mach-e. Hooked up the usb to the iPhone. CarPlay always fails. I’m about to sell the damn car!

Did your phone update to iOS 26.4.1 on Thursday evening? I saw some posts on the Reddit Mach-e forum that folks were having CarPlay connectivity issues after this upgrade. If that's the case, you may need to wait until the next maintenance upgrade to use CarPlay wirelessly.

I don't consider this a Ford issue; rather, it's an Apple iOS bug. My phone and MME were unaffected. Does CarPlay work with a wired connection?

Exactly, I was trying to demonstrate how it's not right to blame Ford for multiple technologies involved.

Delete the car from the phone. There are 3 spots. In the Bluetooth menu, in the CarPlay settings menu, and in your Apple Maps profile. Be aware your CarPlay app arrangement will also be reset, so screen shot your app list to save it first if you want. Then restart the phone.

Delete the phone from the car. Then reboot SYNC by holding next track and volume down buttons together on the steering wheel until the screen goes blank.

Now after everything boots up, try to setup CarPlay again.

I’m on iOS 26.4.1 on a 16 Pro Max with no issues.
