Center console (Sync) black screen very often?

Hi all, I hate to use this forum to complain. It's not in my personality. But that's what my next few posts will be

Does anyone else have the issue where you start your mach-e and the center console screen is black? Rebooting Sync fixes it.

However, this is now happening to me about every 3rd time I start my car. If not, more. Sometimes I need to restart the center console twice.

I've recently factory restarted my car to see if that would fix it. No dice.

My car is currently at the dealership being diagnosed for this problem. I lived with it initially as it was happening rarely, but recently it started getting worse. I counted one weekend, and the black screen was there 8 out of 10 times starting the car.

Here's a thread that someone else started, and I posted to as well. I'll update it if/when I get a resolution:

Thank you! Following that thread! @Ford Motor Company , seems like this is a real issue? Hopefully it can be solved with software.

If you touch the screen and things still happen, then you might have a failing backlight in the display, and the screen will need to be replaced. See: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...e-information-and-entertainment-screen.18884/

Otherwise you could have a low 12V battery causing some issues.

If you touch the screen, things happen. However, it's not the backlight. You can see it's illuminated but just blank.

Yes, the same thing happens to me, about every third or fourth time I start my car, sometimes more. It is intermittent but is irritating to say the least :-(.
I seem to have found a work-around though. If I lock the car with the key fob button (instead of using the automatic locking feature when you walk away from the car), it does not happen (so far).
A couple of months ago Billy Howell Ford (my dealer) did a complete rebuild of the screen software, but this did not resolve the issue.
