New to the group & 2 day Mach-e owner, but 2 year owner of a pair F150 Lightnings. Level 2 charging today & pushed the Charge Port Disconnect Button & pulsing blue lights and charging continued. Then pushed the connector plug disconnect button, heard relay click, blue lights solid & disconnected connector. Went over to Tesla superchargers to test there, and pushing the Charge Port Disconnect Button stopped the charger and disconnected connector plug as expected. The wife noticed an icon on the center screen for the Charge Port Disconnect Button, which was live on the L3 charge, but is dead when charging L2.

Is all this normal for the Mach-e ?? The Disconnect Button is always active on the Lightning L1, L2 & L3 and pushing the button turns the outer ring white (along with relay opening)

The disconnect button next tot he charge port on the Mach-E only works on L3 charging. It ceases charging on L1 and L2 when it sees the latch disconnecting. I always give it a little time when I push the release for the latch on my L2 handle because it can take up to 800ms for the relays to open. ??

The Mach-E owners manual does indicate that non-DCFC is terminated by opening the latch on the connector. Interesting that it's different from the Lightning, where the center button stops all charge levels. Thanks for the confirm - saved a trip to the dealer.

Yeah, personally I think it’s screwball. The button should work for ant charge type. What do I know, though? ?‍♂?
