Something strange happened this weekend. I was having my garage worked on so my car was unplugged for about 3 days. During the time that it was unplugged it received the 3.6.1 Power Up update for the HVAC. I plugged my car into my Juice Box and the charger kept stopping once it hit 20amps and would then restart charging. It kept repeating this cycle indefinitely and never reached 40 amps. I switched to the Ford portable charger, and similar behavior occurred. It would start charging and then make a clicking sound a quick red LED flash. It would repeat this every minute or so (probably once it hit around 20 amps). I assumed that the issue was with my 14-50 receptacle and called my contractor in. The outlet and power line was never touched during my renovation but he checked it numerous times just to be safe. We also tightened the outlet screws and performed other electrical tests. I decided to drive the car to a public Chargepoint L2 charger to see if it replicated the issue. It did. At that point I knew that it was the MME causing this issue and not my power infrastructure. As I sat in the lot, watching the public charger go up and down in KWH after about 15 minutes it just normalized and the behavior stopped. I drove it home, plugged it into my garage and there was no issue. Anyone have a similar experience or any idea what would cause this behavior? I have a 2022 Premium extended AWD. I also attached a screenshot of what my juice box was doing when this behavior occurred. You can see it spike over and over again. Very weird.
