My set preferred times appear to have no impact on the charging schedule. Also, randomly my charging location randomly turned off and automatically charged my car to 100%.

I set my preferred time to charge between 11pm and 8am and to charge to 85%. I have a departure time set for 5pm the next day. I plugged my car in with 95% battery left so my thought is that it should not charge until it conditions the battery for the 5pm departure the next day. It charged twice overnight for now reason.

also, I’m in WI with 5F temps right now.

does anyone know if this is user error or a problem with the car.

final notes: I set the times in the car and not on the app. I have a ChargePoint charger with no schedule set for that charger.

thanks!

Make sure you have it set to “Use preferred charge settings” and not “Charge when plugged in”.

The charging you're seeing is probably the battery heating. It will draw power periodically to heat itself so it doesn't get too cold.

Everything seems normal other than charging to 100%.

I have had issues with this recently too. It has worked perfectly for 1.5 years then last week it stopped working and started charging anytime. I deleted all charge profiles, Plugged it in and when the location became available, re-added the charge profile for the location. This solved the problem.

Also, I have read on this forum that the MME will charge early if it calculates it cannot get to your desired SOC within the charging window. I have found this to be the case while temporarily charging with L1 when my main L2 charger broke.

Definitely not battery heating for me - the car sits in a heated garage.

I can only guess that an update corrupted the charge profiles.
