I had an odd experience (for me at least) today. I drove to work, plugged into one of the chargers there as I usually do--a Tesla L2 charger with a J1772 cable (I think that's the right #), and walked into my building. I looked at the FP app and noticed it wasn't charging--it said I should check it and unplug and then plug it back in. I went back to the car and saw that the lights on the port were all red. I unplugged, waited a few seconds and plugged back in but still red and not charging. I did that a few times with the same result each time, and then unplugged and put the cable back in the EVSE. I went to start the car to move it out of the spot and got the SVS message. I then tried to shift to R but it was locked in park. I had a meeting I had to get to so went to that, then came back a few hours later and was able to start the car. No SVS message and I was able to drive it.
When I got back home I was able to charge with my ChargePoint EVSE. I did notice though that the FP app doesn't seem to show the charging rate anymore--is that new, or is it because it I told it to charge to 100% (I have it set to charge after 9PM)? The ChargePoint app shows I am charging at 10.82kW as is typical I think.
I don't have an OBD reader, but would it be helpful to see the error codes from one? I could always order one. I can't recall--is this something that can be checked by folks here if they have my VIN or do I need to hook up an OBD reader?
