I took the advice of my local electric cooperative (Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative) and had a separate meter installed for my Mach-E Premium AWD extended battery. The separate meter tracks time of day charging and the reduction in rate after 10 PM is substantial (3 cents kw).

Even though I have my Ford app set to charge at 11 pm (Autel also set after 10 PM) and it doesn’t run past 12 midnight, I still show charging on my MVEC bill during intermediate and also prime time

Since we have warmer weather, I have not set any ā€œdepartureā€ times. I do plug in the Autel charger at the end of the day and periodically I have seen the Autel Charger light flashing.

Any advice…am I doing something wrong? I am now only plugging it in a 10:30 pm to be safe.

You should probably set only your EVSE for charge times or only your car for charge times. There have been some weird conflicts when both the car and EVSE were set. That said, perhaps the lights flashing on the EVSE indicate that the EVSE is doing something internally and using power. Are the amounts you're seeing used outside of your preferred charge times very small in comparison to the amounts you're seeing during your charge window? šŸ¤”šŸ©

I will make that change.
I’ve only witnessed it a couple of times and then I’ve disconnected the cable. The charges show that 20% of the time it charged at a time before 10 pm.

Part of this may be the scheduling logic. You have things set for 5 hours per day during the evening off-peak hours. The car will look at the current SOC, compare that to the target SOC, and calculate whether it can reach the target SOC by the end of the window (4 am). If the answer is "No," then the car will push the start time earlier until it can reach the target SOC by the end time, even if that new time is outside your window.

I took your advice and extended the window to 6 am to make sure I don’t have that issue, however, I only drive about 20 miles a day and it never takes more than 45 minutes to charge to 90%
