chipped paint on window opener

Anybody have this happen? Car is a ayear and a half old. Everything has been great and then the chrome paint on the driver window opener has chipped! Now I have to take this in to a dealer to have fixed. So annoying. Anybody have a DIY solution?

If I were you I wouldn’t do a DIY when it should be fixed by the dealer under warranty.

i know. it's so annoying to have to go there and wait or leave my car for something so tiny but an avoidable QC issue.

Brought it into the dealer today for a replacement. Was told that this is a common problem with both the escape and Mach e. Ford is working on a replacement.
