Hi all, I'm considering trading my Edge Sport in for a Mach. Just wondering if anyone's got a GT model in Canada? I don't see any in stock anywhere but they might be order only. Not sure which model to choose but I'm driving some next week so that should help me decide. Leaning toward premium AWD unless anyone can tell me the 2wd is good in snow and slush? Doubt I need the GT's performance although it might be worth it.

They don’t sell the GT in Canada. You can only get the GT PE. I just ordered one, because it’s important for me to be able to get groceries doing 0-100 in 3.5 seconds.

Honestly, I drove a two-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive and I don't think I would need the acceleration of the all-wheel drive. It almost made me nauseous. The rear-wheel-drive was the extended range battery, but it was plenty of power.

Well I guess I have a superbike and a turbo Porsche for my speed fixes so I don't need to break my neck in the suv ??

Besides, it might be embarrassing to get an SUV that's faster than the super bike and turbo Porsche ?

While the RWD extended is a good choice to maximize range, the RWD models are a minority of sales in Canada. If resale value is a concern get the AWD. I personally have a AWD short range and it's plenty fast enough.

I took my 911 Turbo out last week and had to wait for the turbo to kick in. Lol.

I moved out, paused, paused some more, considered moving back in again, then bang. I was past. The handling is in a different world and when the Turbo is already spooled you are so much faster.

That said, both get you there just as fast when doing 70 on a motorway, or when stuck in traffic and the MME is much better for that.

I like the AWD and am used to it, but suspect the 2WD would suffice in most instances.

Hi,
I have been driving the AWD ER since Feb 2021. The AWD drive was great in the snow.
Depending on where you live, I would suggest AWD for winter driving.
I am buying winter tires and rims for the upcoming winter season.
25,000 km already on mine. Great car.
