Click noise at start in cold water

My 2023 MachE makes a repeating clicking noise when starting after being parked in cold weather. I replaced the battery but it still does it. There are no error messages on the screen and the car runs normally. Anyone with a similar problem?

This is the normal behavior when the battery temp is below freezing. The contactors will rapid cycle to deice before closing. No harm is done.

Reminder: Plug the car in to keep the battery warm, then they won't do that.

Or don't park in cold water, only warm water...

My car warming itself for 19 minutes overnight. 1.5kWh.

The 12 V battery lasts 3-4 years according to the Ford dealer. My car is 3 years old so I decided to spend 140$ to replace it anyway. It looks like that clicking sound is normal in cold weather. Or not? Anyone else with the same problem?

You were told in post #2 that it is normal.

Starting my a 11th week of ownership and my Mach E has clicked at various times from day one. I assumed this is normal and glad to hear it is. My other car is a 2016 Ford Flex and that has its own clicks and hisses but typically they all get drowned out by the internal combustion engine. Silence is truly golden on our Mach E.
