Have been test driving the GT, and I love it. Know vaguely about the 5 sec thing, but doubt it will be relevant for how I normally drive, and where I live/ typically drive? I just enjoy those few moments of thrill, and I enjoy how it steers. I'm not looking the break the speed barrier every time I drive and constantly have the pedal floored. I also love how it look. I consider GT something like being the car I already love driving, but with a little extra (except range which is slightly decreased from the one I have). And a little better looking, both on the outside and inside.

Interested in general thoughts.
Anyone considered, but decided not worth it?
Anyone did it? Happy, unhappy?

Also curious about color choices and thoughts.
I have a hard time deciding between the more "anonymous" red which I already enjoy in the one I have, or going for the bold orange which color is growing on me, love the sporty vibe. But worried I'll be bothered by the attention 2 months in owning it, or feel done with the beaming orange. Never owned an attention grabbing car. Maybe go for orange just to go outside anything I've tried before, and maybe a little outside my comfort zone? At least it will be a new experience...

I wont be able to help you at all.
But what you said is my sentiments exactly, except that I don't own a MME yet. I haven't been able to find a in stock Premium or GT that doesnt have a $5-10k mark up so I'm figuring on waiting until August to order one, but which one.
Ive been using my garage queen, a stick 2008 Mustang GT Convertible that is White w red interior that still has only 12,000 miles on it for the last couple months as my daily driver, because my son is taking my previous DD back to school with him.
Ive never regretted buying the flashy white and red Mustang GT because I knew that it would be a weekend fun car, but the MME is going to be my new DD and I'm on the fence what model and color will work best.
The Grabber Blue color has been a color that I've wanted forever, but having it as my daily driver might be a little much. There is something nice about being able to stealth around unnoticed with the more subtle black and grey colors. Grabber Blue not so much.
Ive never regretted owning a GT in the past for both performance and badge appeal. Its nice to know the performance is there whether you use it or not.
I'm planning on ordering a MME Prem 4X or a GT w/pano & tech. A $9-10k difference between the two. Is it worth that much to have the GT? I hate giving away any of the range.
Should I get it in Black or Blue? Definitely not white, because a close friend has a Space White MME.
Luckily August is a little ways off.

If you are worried about all the attention then maybe this is NOT the car for you! We are still dealing with that after having the car for a year! If I had a do over I would probably stay with the 4X premium but go with Silver Blue ( IBSM ) which was not available last year.

I went from '21 CR1 to GT about 3 months ago. I may reverse my course to '22 CR1 AWD since we have 2 GTs right now and as much as I love this trim I need something more practical for long travels.
My actual GT summer distance is very close to 250-260 miles, CR1 was pushing 300. I average about 2.8 miles per kW.
If we would not get GT for my wife I would stick with mine without any other thoughts.

Colors - it's your choice. Just take what you like. From my experience, black color requires ceramic coating otherwise you will see dried water marks.

I wish the Iced Blue Silver had just a hint more blue. I’ve gone and looked at it a few times in varying sunlight conditions, it has a blue hue at best. Beautiful color, just wish for a bit more blue.

I have GT and love it!
Literally never had any problems with the 5 second thing and floor it a lot! I like to accelerate fast, but not go too much over speed limit.

I went from a grey 4X to a grabber blue GTPE and am very happy. I bought the 4X because it was good looking and fast. I bought the GT because it's even better looking, faster, and was available in grabber blue, a color I've always loved.

Range definitely takes a hit, I could get close to 300 in my 4X, and now more like 250/260 in my GT. But now that I'm seeing more and more Mach Es on the road, I am happy to have a GT that stands out from the rest. I've always been a flashy car kind of guy and the Mach E GTPE (those wheels!) in grabber blue fits the bill.

Same here but I have been known to go a bit over the speed limit ;)

It's really easy to get up to the 100mph mark without realizing that you are even going that fast. But for the most part I just follow the traffic flow.

Before you trade in your GT I would get a set of CR1 wheels and tires. You may not get the full range of the CR1 but it's likely to give a noticeable improvement in range.

With a caveat, I don't think the 18" wheels will fit a GTPE

I bought a Shadow Black GT Performance ... loaded... MSRP was 72k... a bit pricey... However, with all the incentives... it'll end up closer to 60k... It has the MagneRide suspension, upgraded the wheels (even through the GT wheels look nice) and did a clear bra/PPF on the entire front end... I did the option plan with the balloon payment... They payoff is about 30k at the end of 3 years... if I choose to keep it.... not a lease... with 1.4% interest through Ford. As for the Mach E GTPE .... it's a blast... super fast... fun to drive and take on day trips. I use it to offset the mileage on my 2020 750i M Sport... Ford did a great job with the interior, handling, body lines, etc... They really went all out... even on the freeway... at cruising speed... you hit it... everyone is standing still. It's comfortable to drive for several hours. I'm looking forward to the gas savings and no maintenance. As for the color, I always buy black or charcoal gray...

Ordinarily I wouldn't like an orange color for a vehicle but I saw an orange GT in person the other day I thought it looked awesome. Go with that.

I got behind the wheels of the cyber orange again, and I gotta say all my doubts instantly faded away. The color is such a bright and uplifting color. The red looks good, but isn't playful. Orange is def a type and vibe and experience that is very different from the more calm red color. I need to try that at least once in my life.

I ended up ordering the cyber orange GT.

Wait seem to be painfully long. With how things are now, I wont be surprised if it gets delayed and I wont see until a year has passed. Oh well, at least I still have my other Mach E, which I also love.

Yeah, same. I never thought I'd even consider any vibrant color on any car, at the very least not orange, and my first glance at the orange didn't appeal to me. But when you're around it you start noticing how happy you feel every time you walk towards it to go for a drive. It's amazing.

My wife and I had the same feeling of, "no not orange". We do not buy cars that have loud colors. The red was a walk on the wild side for us. However, as we looked it, welll to be presise we saw the Bronco in Cyber Orange, we though why not. It was a great color and it stood out in the sea of white, red, green, blue and gray cars. It may be the second to last car we buy, since we keep our cars for decades, so why not. Besides it is not really orange. In the sun it is more yellow and in the shade, hints of orange.
