Found a pretty good deal up in Charlotte on a '25 GTPE with glass roof in Velocity Blue Metallic with $0 down, 0% interest for a shorter term than my '22, and the payment is $20 cheaper a month than the '22 without taking a huge hit. Flew up (free flight) and surprised the sales guy and then drove it back home after visiting friends. Was a nice way to break in the new digs.

I had the Rally springs and Eibach sway bars installed on my 2025 Premium. it made a difference. it's not Cadillac smooth but it makes the small chop much better.

Having seen the Velocity Blue in person - it's probably my fav color on the Mach-E. Congrats!

Probably too soon to answer your own question, but have you noticed a big difference in the ride?

Select to GTPE
- noticeably better handling.
magneride plus low profile 20" tires I attribute to the improvement
-more power, added performance option after a month.
awesome. however, below 70% (approx) charge, the G-force of accel drops significantly
This alone could kill any expectations of fun unless you charge daily.
-range, I had standard battery previous. I do get more range. Not a game changer though
-glass roof - driver never notices it
- interior ambiant lighting, too dim to notice
- heat pump. heat ,defrost works, I don't see a diference, other than the heat pump is noisy
after starting. I suspect its variable speed, and begins on high, ie you hear it
-power trunk lid. I still grab it by habit and try to slam it. It resists. Then I wise up and
push the button. I like it.
- grill - meh
- color match wheel opening trim, gloss black vs matt trim, love it over select.
- front facia styling - I appreciate it, non-owners likely never notice there are different ones.
-front seats - I love the side and shoulder bolsters. Feels more comfortable in general.
-new display graphics. I strongly prefer the new look.

Whats missing
- sentry mode, and ability to use a USB drive to record - aka Tesla
-hands free driving, bluetooth capable roads scarce in Canada
-lane centering works great, when it works. Too often it cuts out on country roads
-stereo, needs' MOAR BASS'. Sub is very family oriented lets say. Better than select, but not WOW.

I know you went from Select to GT, but I assume the acceleration below 70% charge still more than what my Premium AWD ER gives me in general?

I drove it home which was about 5 hours + charging stops the day after I got it and it felt different to me, a lot smoother. Steering feels different, too. Took a friend for a ride who was used to the premium and he thought it was better as well. Only ever used unbridle mode on the premium and now the same on the new one for as close as possible comparison.

I'd say the experience at 80% or better is fun.

My select Std range AWD was pretty snappy. AWD has 2 motors (obv.) so more power.
Extended range battery even at same terminal voltage as standard, has more free electrons on tap, so better zip.

Gt has an even larger battery, and performance option more torque.

It is way more willing during regular driving to go uphill with little pedal effort. The vehicle feels more capable overall.

I'd have to look it up, but in general terms the upgrade isn't linear. 2x torque/hp isnt twice as fast.
At least 4x more power for 2x feel. So you need to take a test drive to know for yourself if its enough. Dont be like me and enable 'unbridled extended' for my first test drive. And check the test vehicle is at least 80% charge to get a reasonable comparison.

I am quite happy with the upgrade due to power, comfort, range. I wouldnt say its way better than other trims at 50% charge.

I think the earlier model Select AWD ER had about ~280 horsepower and the Premium AWD ER had ~360

But I believe in 2024 both the Select and Premium had the same 365 HP when you chose AWD and ER in either model. So with 365 horsepower and whatever torque numbers I enjoy the get up and go currently.

I had test driven the 2023 GT non-performance model before purchasing my 24 Premium and more recently have test-driven the Rally model. Both seemed incredibly nimble & light on their feet if that's the term for a big heavy vehicle that moves out like a rocketship.

I'm just curious if I upgrade to a GT and the below 70% battery if the performance falls off- would it still feel more than my Premium at that battery level LOL

Probably a purely subjective experience

Thanks!

Im my opinion, 50-70 some. more near 70. Below 50, no.

My first test drive in the GT was topped off, but I mis-config'd the unbridled.
Takeoff from stop - yahoo. Tromp it to pass, yawn.

Now I have it, and dialed things in, plus some seat time:

Took a 1.5hr trip each way yesterday and started with 86%. Was lively passing on the way up.
Way back I got home with 38%. Return trip I could pass with above average (compared to ICE cars) performance. I'd say it wasn't any better at 40% than my select awd.

Its not a black and white answer. Depends on state of charge to be sure. If around town, it will still be perky at stops and gos. Highway - the fun zone disappears.

Appreciate the reply, have been considering an upgrade to the Rally just for the suspension upgrade. But if course the better performance and seats would be part of the calculation. Thanks again!

Thanks. If I’m not mistaken, the different modes affect the steering and firmness/smoothness of ride on the gt. On the premium, only affects the pedal mapping.
